International Certificate of competence (ICC)
The International Certificate of Competence was developed by the United Nations Economic Commission for Eurpe (UNECE) as a standard of skippering competence. It is required by many european charter companies, particularly if you wish to charter a boat in the mediterranean.
There are 4 different types of ICC.
We offer:
1 - ICC sail up to 24m plus power up to 10m
2 - ICC power up to 10m
ICC sail up to 24m plus power up to 10m
Holders of the IYT Bareboat Skipper certificate can apply for an ICC certificate without the need for further assessment, and will be asked simply to cover the cost of certification plus a small administration fee. If you do not hold a Bareboat Skipper certificate, but believe you have the relevant experience and wish to be assessed for an ICC, please contact us. To operate watercraft on European inland waterways you will need the ICC- CEVNI endorsment.
ICC power up to 10m
Students taking the IYT Small Powerboat and RIB Master course can choose to include the ICC Power as part of their course. Those who believe they have the relevant knowledge and wish to do a direct assessment may contact us. Again, if operating vessels in inland waterways, the ICC-CEVNI endorsement will be required.
